- Standard mantel sizes are 6'x4"x8" and 8'x6"x10". Cost for sizes other than the standard will be determined by the cost of wood from the supplier.
- All mantels are carved in kiln dried basswood unless request for custom wood and price have been agreed upon.
- Doors, newel posts, table tops, etc. are all custom designs and orders. Size, type of wood, and design will determine final price.
- A deposit of 50% is required before carving will begin. The balance plus shipping is due before your carving is shipped.
- Sketches for custom designs are $250. Sketching charge may be deducted from final price if sketches are approved and order is confirmed.
- Packing, Shipping and Handling is charged per piece. As a general rule you can expect a charge of at least 15% of the piece price.
- Shipping date will vary according to carver's schedule. You will be contacted with an approximate start and shipping date when order is received.
- Carvings are done on a first come, first carved basis. Expect a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before carving will begin. Be sure to place your order early enough for completion and shipping by the date you expect receipt of finished piece.
