Each of the 12 designs displayed below are handcarved in basswood. They are available in 4" and 6" thickness. Mantel length and width will vary according to thickness.

As you make your mantel, door or other carving choices please remember that no two pieces are exactly the same. Our woodcarvers craft each piece individually creating subtle differences. Each Standard Design can be modified. You can add your home, your family and your pets making the carving unique to you.
Standard four inch mantel design features approximately a 3 foot carved area. Six inch designs feature a minimum 4 foot carved area. Doors are all done to the size specifications agreed upon between the carver & the customer. Carvings can be hand colored to enhance detail. Minwax stain or stain supplied by you matching trim detail in your home is used on all mantels and doors. The piece is then sealed and a final paste wax is applied. Mantel surface can be smooth or hewed.
Base prices for standard designs range from $1,200 to $3,500 for 6' and 8' mantels. All door prices are quoted individually.
